Building A Foundation Of Faith

Partnering with and engaging parents to teach children to depend on and know they are loved by God, through the knowledge and understanding of the Gospel.

A Safe & Engaging Environment

A Safe & Engaging Environment

When your child is at Westtown Kids, you can be sure they are in a safe environment while they learn about God’s plan for their life. Westtown Kids is all about engaging your child in the rich stories and characters of the Bible in a way that enables your child to find relevance in the truths of scripture.

What To Expect

What To Expect

At Westtown, your infants and toddlers (1 month to 3 years) will be nurtured in a secure space, allowing you to worship fully, knowing your child is in good hands. We also provide exciting, Biblically based activities and teaching for kids, ages PreK-5th Grade, at each of our services on Sunday mornings at 9:00am and 10:45am.

Who Attends Westtown Kids?

We have 3 age groups which are invited to Kids' Town during the beginning of each worship service. Your children stay with you in the sanctuary and are asked to join their class at the end of singing.

In each age group, we have developmentally appropriate Bible time, discussion, hands-on activities, music, and at-home materials to share with the family.

Keeping faith visible beyond Sunday mornings as your child strives to live a Christ-centered life.

Westtown Kids is focused on building a foundation of faith in each child, as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. We want to partner with parents to teach kids to depend on God and to know who they are because of the Gospel.

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."

Proverbs 22:6

Frequently Asked Questions

Some Common Questions About Westtown Kids.

At Westtown Kids, we LOVE our first time visitors. Our teachers and existing children will welcome them in with friendly smiles, and make sure they feel that they belong here.

When you first arrive:
  • PreK – 5th Grade: head to the Kids Check-in area in the Foyer of the Main Building.
  • Infant – Preschool: head to the Nursery/Preschool Check-in area in the Kids’ Lobby of the Kids’ Building.
Check-in your child:

All children will get checked-in to our secure check-in system. Parents/Guardians will be handed a security ticket for each child, and a matching security ticket will be placed on each child.

Once you’ve checked-in:
  • PreK – 5th Grade: head to the Sanctuary, with your family, until Kids are dismissed from the worship service.
  • Infant-Preschool: you’ll drop your child off in their classroom, then head to the Sanctuary for worship.
After the service:

All children will be picked up by their parent/guardian from their classroom. Parents will hand their security ticket to the teacher and their child is then free to leave.

From the minute a child arrives at Westtown Kids to the minute they are picked up to go home, we want to make sure they have the most fun and safest experience possible, all revolved around learning and experiencing the love of Jesus.

Because our curriculum is adapted in each class to best fit the age group being taught, we encourage kids to attend the service in their appropriate age group. However, if a child is uncomfortable attending alone, they may attend service with a friend or family member; we just ask that both children attend the service for the youngest child’s age group. This allows both children to fully understand and engage in the lesson being taught.

At Westtown Church, we always encourage families to engage their children in the Bible, and that’s why we recommend placing your child where it makes the most sense for you. We know every family is different, and every day is different. If you would like your child to accompany you during the service, feel free to do so–our worship services are a great environment for children to learn what it means to worship. If your child becomes restless, or your younger child is upset, we also offer an available Family Room, where you can sit in a calm and comfortable environment, but are still able to view the current service and experience worship.
