Trip Itinerary

  • June 15th – Team takes off Saturday, for a travel day & team dinner
  • June 16th – Sunday morning church at Parkway Baptist
  • June 17th – 21st – Monday thru Friday VBS & projects in the afternoon
  • June 20th – Thursday afternoon team fun day
  • June 21st –Friday send off from Parkway, team lunch and travel day

Trip Mission

This trip allows a family with students as young as 6th grade, to serve together. We will spend the majority of our time working alongside those already serving the Miami Gardens community at Parkway Baptist Church, where we will assist with their VBS classes and help out with projects as needed.

We will also have time in the afternoons to venture to other parts of the community that need assistance. This trip is all about being flexible and going where God leads us. Parkway is a Jamaican church–we will be immersed in their culture and enjoy wonderful meals provided by our Parkway family. We plan to spend lots of time growing our relationships with their church leaders and engaging with their student ministry.

We desire to be a generous church. We are hoping to share the blessings that we have been given and the love of Christ by rehabilitating a home, and providing gospel centered childcare in the Miami Garden’s community. Financial support will provide resources to rehab the church member’s home, provide meals for families in need, provide scholarships for summer camp program that keeps kids off the streets in the summer, provide a craft for a hurricane preparedness event, and allow us to love the students of PBC through recreational activities. Grant the team patience, empathy, and a desire to understand a different culture and community, remove any biases or unknown prejudice we may have & give us selfless attitudes, and eyes and ears to see as Jesus sees.

Prepare the community in Miami to receive us as brothers and sisters in Christ, to welcome us openly and communicate with us effectively. Remove any pride or resentment that could come between us unintentionally.
