Pastor

Frank Taylor

After growing up in a strong Christian home and having a solid church experience particularly during his high school years, Frank began to feel a call to full-time Christian service.

Once he graduated from Florida State University, Frank moved to Orlando, Florida and enrolled at Reformed Theological Seminary. Here he received both a Masters in Divinity and Masters in Counseling and began working with students and families. After 8 years in Orlando, Frank was called by the Southwest Florida Presbytery to the role of organizing pastor of Westtown Church (PCA) in September of 2005. Since the first bible study in his living room, Frank has experienced Gods provision through growing his personal faith as well as Westtown Church.

In addition to working at Westtown, Frank is an avid sports fan and music lover. He enjoys following the Rays, Bucs, and Noles and listening to an eclectic repertoire of music.

He has been married to his beautiful wife Lou since 1997, and has four wonderful children: Ellie, Eliza, Frankie V., and Jake.

Paul Van Ost

Paul received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Florida State University in 2001. He served for two years as a college ministry intern at First Baptist Church, Tallahassee, FL. He was also the choral director at Horace O'Bryant Middle School in Key West, FL in 2003.

Currently, Paul is a full-time state law enforcement officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, serving since 2004 in both the Florida Keys and Pasco County.

He is married to a beautiful country girl named Adrianne who serves as a full-time math teacher for Florida Virtual School. They have two little ladies named Savannah Joy and Annalee Noelle.

Kerry Barrow

Kerry was born & raised in Washington, Iowa. She went to school for elementary education & moved to El Paso, Texas to teach. She met Bill, who was stationed at Ft. Bliss. They married, have moved around the United States for the Army, and eventually landed in Tampa, Florida.

She taught several years, pursued her Master's degree in education, then stayed home for her family in 2000. She has 2 children, Clara & Luke. Kerry joined the Westtown family in December of 2009. She has always had a love of working with children, and been active in children's ministry. She is excited to be at Westtown to help grow the ministry and encourage children to grow in their faith & enthusiastically pursue Christ-centered lives.

Lou Taylor

Lou has been working with the kids at Westtown since the church began meeting as a small bible study in the Taylor home in 2005. As the number of little ones increased, both at church and in her family, so did her desire to cultivate a ministry to draw kids close to Christ early in life. She is passionate about walking alongside and equipping parents as they champion the spiritual formation of their children.

In addition to working with Kids Town, Lou stays busy with family life and working part-time at a preschool. She and Frank have four kids: Ellie, Eliza, Frankie, and Jake.

Josh Wayt

Although he was raised in a Christian home, he lacked a personal relationship with God. Christianity seemed to be a whole bunch of rules to follow...and a shot at heaven. All of this began to change when, as a teenager, Josh became heavily involved in his churchs youth ministry. God used small groups and summer camps to reveal His awesome love and grace. He revealed above all, that being a Christian is about having an exciting and fulfilling relationship with God because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.

Josh has been on mission trips to Mexico, Malawi and Thailand, sharing Christ with those who dont know him. Today, Josh is more passionate about this than ever! His hearts desire is to see teens discover Jesus love and grow deep in their relationships with him.

Josh is an avid sports fan and jazz musician. He's always down for a pick up basketball game or jam session! He likes to spend his evenings eating mouth blistering, spicy Thai food.

Ministry Administrator

Nicki Ransom

Nicki was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida.

She moved to Tampa in March of 2006 and came on staff at Westtown in July of the same year as the Ministry Administrator. Previously, she served in the Accounting department at the University of Tampa and was a director of office relations for the IT department at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Nicki graduated from the University of Florida with her bachelors degree in Business Administration. She and her high school sweetheart, Matt, were married in 2006. In November 2009, they were blessed with their first son, Jackson. In her spare time Nicki enjoys reading, traveling, going to the beach, watching the Gators win and spending time with her family.

Nicki has been so amazed by where God has taken Westtown over the past 4 years. She feels so blessed to be a part of this church family.
